Three of you in the choir have already received the email below from Amy Tatko about Art Stukey's condition, but I think it is worth sending to all. Please note that the best support for Sue at this point are cards mailed or dropped off at their house and/or goodies/snacks or something that is hanging on Sue's door (with the giver's name) when she returns from Burlington. Art and Sue's address is 120 College St., Montpelier.

And while you are generating and sending your healing thoughts to Art and Sue, please send another batch to my sister Susan who is having some serious psychotic issues. You may remember that Susan sang with us last spring at the Choir Sunday.

Dick

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: amy tatko <amytatko@gmail.com>
Date: Fri, Dec 2, 2016 at 9:36 AM
Subject: Art is back in the hospital
To: Pam Cameron <pamfcameron@comcast.net>, loon@sover.net, Laura Bozarth <laurabozarth@rocketmail.com>, Harris Webster <hewebster@comcast.net>, Pat Carstensen <oaktreedance@hotmail.com>, Scott Hess <scottphess@gmail.com>, Patty Crawford <pattycrawford613@gmail.com>, rcrileymusic <rcrileymusic@gmail.com>, Nancy Schulz <saddleshoes2@gmail.com>, Anne Ferguson <storywalkvt@yahoo.com>, Ellie Peters <elliep@pshift.com>, Dave Peters <davep@pwshift.com>, Amy Willis <awillis01@gmail.com>, Bill Paine <paine.cpt.safety@gmail.com>, John Poeton <jpoeton2@aol.com>, Danner Friend <dannervt@gmail.com>, Peter Thoms <peter.thoms1@gmail.com>, Judith Hinds <jrhinds1185@yahoo.com>, Hedi Ballantyne <hedi.ballantyne@gmail.com>, Sally Armstrong <sjdaab@hotmail.com>, Jen Miller-Arsenault <jma98@comcast.net>, Mary Jane Ohlson <maryjaneohlson@gmail.com>, Tina Ruth <tinapruth@gmail.com>
Cc: "Rev. He has mostly not been able to do the rehab therapies this week at the Fanny Allen rehab center, due to restlessness, sleeplessness at night, depression, and frustration. The doctors still do not know whether his current state is due mainly to medications or the underlying disease.

Sue is hanging in there the best she can, but this week has taken its toll, with the disappointment of the rehab process not going as hoped and tiredness from the whole ordeal. She mentioned that she enjoys cards mailed or dropped off at the house but has found texts, emails, and phone calls taxing. She also really appreciated a bag of goodies/snacks/something that was hanging on her front door knob when she got home one day this week. She does not need meals but seems to appreciate little offerings, maybe goodies (gluten free!), maybe small nurturing gifts (a candle, bath salts, etc.). She also appreciates knowing who has left what at her house, so please include a card with at least your name on it.

I wish there were more we could do. If we could rally to be sure that there are cards and small offerings on the porch when Sue gets home today, I think that would feel very supportive for her. This is a really hard day at the end of a tough week, and there are still no answers on the horizon.

And of course we must continue to beam the strongest hope and love to Art that we can muster, so he will recover from this.

Love,

Amy
