Music is a balm in many ways, and I felt it last night.</div><div><br></div><div>You may already have read Joan's special email to all, but if not, please know that there will be just one service, at 10:00 am, on Sunday - NOT two services at 9 and 11. UCM is adopting recommendations from the Unitarian Universalist Association that all <span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="font-size:14px;font-style:italic;">church gatherings of more than 25 people be immediately suspended</strong>, so on Sunday there will be no congregation. But there <u>will</u> be a kind of worship service that'll be transmitted (somehow!), and imagine this: there is "room" for the choir!</span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The service is still being created, so I can't be very specific about what your role would be, or exactly what will be in the service, but for sure we could sing Donia's piece "Rising," and perhaps a hymn or two. It would likely be just Joan, Eliza, possibly one or two other helpers for recording purposes, you all, and me!</span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Please let me know if you are willing to attend and sing. To recap: you would come at 9:15 to rehearse. The service would begin at 10:00, and probably NOT last as long as an hour. <u>There will not be other people coming to the service.</u></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><u>Please "reply all"</u> so that we can assess whether the choir will have a role in this Sunday's service. What happens AFTER this Sunday is not known at this time.</span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Oh, I guess unfortunately I <b>do</b> know something of what's not going to happen after this Sunday: we will <b>not</b> be able to hold Music Sunday on April 5.</span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">These are uniquely tough times.
