Bronwyn, in this case I think it's a good call. Thank you so much for proposing it and for all of your consideration about it.
I see it as not really a question of safe or unsafe, because we can't call anything safe right now. But more of a personal risk assessment. I agree that what you were proposing would have been low risk, but for some people that is legitimately too much risk! I've gotten together a couple times with a couple friends to sing outside, distanced. They live in towns with no cases and so it felt ok, but I could see feeling differently in slightly different circumstances, or if Central Vermont's cases started to rise even slightly. But it's hard with a somewhat larger pool of people.

Donia

On Sun, Jun 14, 2020 at 12:06 PM Bronwyn Fryer via Choir <choir@unitarianchurchofmontpelier.org> wrote:

Folks, given the pushback I think we had better not do this.
most of us are old and should avoid anything that feels too risky.

love to all

B.

On Jun 14, 2020, at 9:52 AM, Richard Riley <rcrileymusic@gmail.com> wrote:

My instinct to share the references to my dad is straight-ahead pride, but I hope that people read and independently assess the information in Statement of Work: Aerosol Generation from Playing Band Instruments, Singing and Performing and Risk of Infectious Disease Transmission.

For sure, this is not new news to you, but I am still struck by the intense desire of many to put COVID-19 reality behind them. Hi all

I’ve been thinking about trying to do this. If you don’t mind wearing a mask when we sing closer than 10’ from one another we might attempt in, say a 10-person per time group. Those of you who have been to my house know that there is plenty of room to spread around. I can provide mics and amplifiers for a few people and guitar accompaniment; it might be fun to do rounds and a cappella too if we can hear one another.

If interested, let me know and we can make arrangements.

Love to all.
