know, the Board has named a Steering Committee to oversee planning of
the Building for the Future (BFF) project. That group is co-chaired by
Paul Ohlson and Jen Miller-Arsenault. They in turn are designating
several Work Groups to implement various aspects of the project, e.g.
educating the congregation, overseeing the construction process, raising
funds, and managing project finances. On October 27th, the congregation
will be asked to approve an aspirational comprehensive plan for
staffing and building modifications, and to approve hiring a financial
feasibility consultant who will help the Board determine whether UCM can
raise the funds needed to actualize such a plan. <br clear="none"></div><div><br clear="none"></div><div>The
Education Work Group (co-chaired by us, Sarah and Judith) will be
holding a congregational forum in September and numerous small group
meetings throughout August and September -- some in people's homes, some
at church. We would love to attend a meeting of your committee or team
during that time frame. We would take about 30 minutes of your time to
present an overview of the BFF project and answer your questions. Please
