While we celebrate the slow return of light, we also rest in the time of the long darkness and embrace the creative power and stillness of the dark. <i>This Sunday’s service will also include a Child Blessing and Dedication Ceremony to welcome new children into the congregation.</i></div><div><br></div><div><b>Saturday, December 24, Christmas Eve at UCM</b></div><div><b>4:30PM</b> Our early service is designed especially for families with children. We will share the Nativity Story in our <b>Fifth Annual No-Rehearsal Christmas Pageant </b>and celebrate the sacredness and wonder of each night a child is born. People of all ages are encouraged to come in costume as angels, shepherds, or wise Unitarian Universalists. All roles are gender neutral. Joan Javier-Duval and Liza Earle-Centers.</div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>5:30PM</b> A time of sharing in Christmas cheer in the vestry. Cider provided.</div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>6:30PM </b> We will welcome Christmas into the world and into our hearts during this "Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols." This service will feature readings, carols, special music, and candle lighting. Led by Rev. Joan Javier-Duval, Richard Riley and the UCM Choir, and special musical guests.</div><div><br></div><div><div><b>Sunday, December 25, A Christmas Celebration, Worship & Arts Committee</b></div><div>Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, and we will have a worship service at the usual time. Join us for a Unitarian Universalist Christmas celebration featuring special music, readings, and plenty of warm conviviality. There will not be religious education programming this Sunday, but quiet activities for children will be available in the sanctuary. Coffee hour to follow the service. All are welcome.</div></div><div><br></div><div><i>We will commemorate the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah at our service on Sunday, January 1.</i></div><div><br></div>
