My French is not good enough to appreciate the pronounciation as Richard does - but the sound was so
?make-you-weep beautiful!
And "hearty forthrightness" is exactly right for the sound of the good old hymn.?
Thank you so much, as always,
Betty

I LOVED the care with which you pronounced the French in "Cantique de Jean Racine," especially in the soft sections! The basses, who often started these soft sections, set a very high standard that all the other parts met.
In wonderful contrast, the hearty forthrightness of "I Love to Tell the Story" resonated with a number of people in the congregation. It's always interesting to find that though people in our church identify themselves now as Unitarians, they often come from other denominations, and the music they knew in the other denominations continues to resonate with them now as they attend UCM.
