Hi Choir,

Here's a concert announcement from Steve Finner which also includes our own
Heather Moz. It's at the Aldrich Library in Barre.

*Music of Slavery: Spirituals & Songs of Freedom*
SAT. 2/18 at 3PM in the Milne Room
The horrors of slavery resulted in African-Americans creating their own
music of both tragedy and hope. Over 6,000 spirituals have been documented,
primarily rooted in the theology of the Hebrew Bible. Many of these were
"code songs" pointing the way to the north and to freedom. Steve Finner and
Heather Moz will present a program of spirituals and songs of freedom.
There will be opportunities for those present to join in singing.
