Dear Choir Friends,


I have been reluctant to share what's happening to me for fear that people
would read into the information things that were not correct.


I have decided to share with you the latest situation with the hope that
you have the correct information.


On Monday, last, I had a medical procedure that looked up into my urinary
system (bladder, kidneys and all the tubing that connects them) following a
CAT scan that showed  images that looked suspicious. Samples were taken for
biopsy, but the tests were not sufficient to identify the cause of the
images on the scan. After the procedure, I needed a catheter to void my
bladder (ow!). The catheter was removed yesterday morning (Oh, what a
relief it was !). The combination of the procedure and the catheter has
left me physically weakened and sore. The next step will likely be a
collection of cells directly from the source via a needle directed by x-ray
imaging. That should happen in the two weeks. When the tissue is analyzed,
the docs should be better able to determine what it is and how best to
treat it.


I have been staying with Nancy, my daughter-in-law, as our house had no
power until early Thursday. I returned home yesterday. Janet, my guardian
angel, has been helping out as I try to gain strength and heal from the
intrusions to my body. She also has been keeping Darlene apprised of my
condition.
