This is such sad news.

Thank you, Dick & Bill, for filling us in.

I am heading out to Wisconsin early tomorrow morning so will miss choir tonight. So let me say now, THANK YOU to each and every one of you. Singing with you all in choir fills me with joy. I always feel safe, and loved. Choir gives me the foundation and strength to go out and do whatever I can to make it a better world. I am deeply grateful.

Dave and Darlene have been such a big part of choir for so long. I am grateful to them as well.

Big virtual hugs, and may you all have a peaceful few weeks.

Love,
Ginny

Both Dave and Darleen Grundy are in need of our most fervent healing wishes, but as you will read in Bill Paine's message below, visits now need need to be coordinated with their need for rest.

Please hold Dave and Darleen in your thoughts and be in touch with Bill and daughter-in-law Nancy about visits.

Thank you, Bill, for being a part of the Pastoral Care team.

Hi Dick,
Could you please send the following on to the choir. Thank you.

Hello Choir friends,
As some of you are aware, Dave Grundy was admitted to CVMC on Saturday. He has had health issues since early fall which have gotten worse in recent weeks. Darlene recently entered Lincoln House in Barre while Dave has tended to his needs including many medical appointments. It is now clear that he has stage 4 metastatic cancer and is being transferred to Burlington for further tests to determine a course of treatment.

He has had a number of visitors while he's been in the hospital the past few days which he has enjoyed but it would be good for him at this point to have time to rest. Rev. Joan and the Pastoral Care team have been in touch with his daughter-in-law, Nancy, and she likes the idea of us having a central way of coordinating short visits while he is in Burlington rather than having folks drop in at random, so we’re helping to set something up.

I will be talking to Nancy tomorrow. I’ll be helping to set up a CaringBridge page and keep it updated so that people can stay informed about his condition and when it will be good to visit. I’ll get you information about where to send cards and make contact (address, room number, etc.) - maybe as soon as tomorrow’s rehearsal.

Thank you for your love and support for Dave & Darlene,
See you tomorrow,
Love,
-Bill
