[Choir] Fwd: update about Hedi for the choir

We will all miss that loving, inexhaustible energy. Surely it must be still doing good in the universe.
At my age one has to get used to losing important friends - but Dave and Hedi in one week!

I am so sorry to hear about Hedi, and I will miss her.      Still, I'm heartened to remember that she was able to live her life so fully until very recently.   She was in choir only last week, and in Onion River Chorus the last time it met.  I doubt she'd stopped her many other activities.  And she had had that marvelous trip to Austria in December.


Losing both Dave and Hedi in the same week is so sad for us all.

Hi Dick,   I saw Hedi this morning and heard the doctor a bit. Earlier I had heard she has pain from damaged muscles and nerves, but no signs of pneumonia.  She is on a lot of medication for that pain, but took herself off one drug which made her "crazy."  The doctor said she would need to go to rehab and it would be a slow recovery even with physical therapy.  Hedi said she preferred Berlin Rehab.  I saw her  tonight  and she was very confused and looked weak. Karin, her daughter, called me a few minutes ago and had been at the hospital just a little after I was.  She told me Hedi had been moved to the ICU just after I had visited her with the possible diagnosis" (Katin's words) of pneumonia.  Feel free to pass this info to others in the choir.   Harris
PS  Thursday night she was sleeping so I didn't speak to her.  Earlier, this morning, I told her many from the choir  specifically spoke to me and sent their love and I could see all members felt that way as I was making the announcement.
