Between sharing with you Harris' first email about Hedi's condition earlier
this morning to hearing of her passing at about 11:30 I had a quick trip to
Richmond to speak with a music friend. We spoke of many things, including,
as it happens, the concert of music by Hedi's father Richard Stöhr that
will happen on February 18 at St. Michael's College. Hedi had a major role
in making that concert happen.
Much of Hedi's life was dedicated to listening carefully, whether to music
or anything else of significance, and sharing what she heard. That was her
gift to us.
