[Choir] music news about UCM 2 services

Hello dear Choir,

We wanted to let you all know as soon as possible about what we'll be
trying in the fall regarding music at the 2 services.  As you might recall,
we had previously discussed the choir primarily singing only at one service
every week, the later service.  The later service will remain as the
primary one where the choir will sing.

However, we are planning a small change to that plan in order to
accommodate those choir members for whom the earlier service is more
convenient, and equally importantly, both so that the early church goers
have the opportunity to sometimes hear the choir, and later church goers
have the opportunity to hear some of the wonderful guest musicians we'll be
scheduling.  For the months of October, November and December,  we've
decided to have the choir sing at the early service on the first Sunday of
each month.  On that Sunday a guest musician will take the place of the
choir at the later service. The choir will sing at the later service all
other Sundays.  This will be an experiment for the fall.  At the end of the
fall we'll evaluate how we'll move forward based on feedback from both the
choir and the congregation.

Going to 2 services is going to be a grand adventure for the church and for
all of us, involving both some perhaps uncomfortable change, but also many
new opportunities.  Thank you all in advance for all that you give to our
church community and for moving into the fall with open minds and hearts.
