Susan reminded me that our friend Peter Amidon likes to do the "Bells of
Norwich" on Easter at the Guilford church where he co-directs music (with
Tony Barrand and Andy Davis), so I took a listen, and decided that we at
UCM can make it "Our Own." So we will! I changed a few words and we - choir
and congregation - will sing it after the postlude on tomorrow's Easter
service!
It's basically a simple melody with four verses, and if that's what you'd
like to focus on personally, that's great - it's all on p. 1. IF you're
feeling adventurous - and adventurousness is not too complicated here - you
can take on some of the stuff on the 2nd page.
I think it will be great fun. I hope that Lydia Busler, who is playing
French horn in both services, will be able to join in with Eliza and Susan
and me - and you. We'll rehearse it before the service at 8:15.
