Forwarding on Joan’s response to the first recording. She loves it! and has some suggestions we can look into.
Vic and I will meet sometime soon, we’re not quite sure yet, and then we’ll send out one or two hymns for anyone to try. Joan also mentioned to me that she’d love us to do “Love Will Guide Us,” so that will be one of the hymns.
Again I want to emphasize, this is still in experimental/learning mode. Please, no pressure to join in the next round if it feels frustrating or overly complicated at this point. We’ll figure it out together.

I forget if it was you or Eliza that had mentioned to me some concerns about tempo. That does seem to be just a tad inconsistent across the singers and could be something to work on for future recordings. The pacing for this particular song also seems a little slower than how we typically sing it together.

In reviewing the instructions for that particular piece, the organizers put together voice recordings of each of the parts that included an embedded tempo. There were some other tricks they used to make sure each individual singer would be on the right tempo.

We had good participation, and everyone did great recording at home! Eliza and I will be trying a few new songs over the next week or so. Let us know if you have any thoughts/suggestions.
