So the idea is, I record the accompaniment part, we’ll send it out to you in a link, and you will sing your part at home, and send the recording to Vic.  Then he’ll put it all together, and Voila!  A virtual choir!  


We’re starting with the very familiar “Spirit of Life”.  The link is attached.  It’s a pretty slow rendition, sorry — please let me know if it’s TOO slow and I’ll redo it.  You can sing the melody line, or parts, whatever you’d like.


Vic will help with technical questions.  He’s great.


Let me know how this all seems to you.  Even if a only few people want to try this first go, we’ll get an idea of how it works.

Great seeing you today. I'm looking forward to experimenting with online (remote) recording. Perhaps you can send this note (or some variation) to the choir. I hope it's not too confusing.


We are starting to experiment with online music recording. Here is a video of Spirit of Life (just piano), and we hope to add vocals. If you are up for trying this, here are some notes for AUDIO & VIDEO. If you have any questions you can call or email Vic (303-247-1800).


The most important thing is that we want to have your vocals recorded clean - WITHOUT the piano music (and other background sounds). What might be easiest is to listen to the piano on your computer (with headphones), and record audio & video using a digital camera (or smartphone). If you can do this, please look into the camera (or close to it) when recording.


NOTES:
- Remember - USE HEADPHONES!
- If you have an audio recorder (and microphone) this would give us the best sound. 
- If you use a separate audio recorder, remember that we want to get video. You can use a camera, or your computer (and send both the audio and video files).
- Another option to record video is Quicktime Pro if you have it on your computer. Open Quicktime and select File - New Movie Recording & hit the RED record button
- A final option is that we can record over a ZOOM call. Get in touch with Vic and we can arrange a time.

- All files should be emailed to Vic at victorgeemail at gmail.com
