Hi All: I was SO proud of all of you last Thursday night, doing the
laborious practice of getting ready to record some audio for a group
project on "May Nothing Evil Cross this Door." Somewhere below should be a
link to the recording with all 4 vocal lines plus piano, for you to
practice with, hopefully before our next rehearsal. And I've also attached
the music again, although you can also find it in the Gray UU hymnal -#1.

I will also send individual parts to whomever might want that, and I will
do that for the few I remember from last Thursday who requested it. Let me
know if you don't get it sometime today and would like it.

Below are some basic & hopefully specific instructions for making these
recordings. I love your adventurous spirits and patience in learning new
technology!

1.Connect your earbuds or headphones to your computer or I-Pad.
2.Get out your I-Phone or other Smartphone & click on VoiceMemo or other
audio recording icon.
3. Put your earbuds in & click on the audio track I sent you
4. Click the red record button for a new audio on your PHONE
5. Click on "play" on the audio track I sent you on your computer
6. Listen to the recording (with earbuds in) WHILE YOU SING YOUR PART &
record it! (Sing near your phone)
7. At the end, wait a few seconds and push the red button to stop recording
on your PHONE.
8.Stop computer audio.
9. Take off your earbuds & press play on your PHONE to listen to your
recording.
10. If you like it, save it. If not, repeat the above steps and
re-record. (If it is too loud an easy fix is to move farther from your
phone, if too quiet, get closer to your phone. If you can't hear your
voice while you record, take one earbud out)

Directions for sending/sharing your recording with me will be sent another
time, so don't worry about that now. Just practice listening, singing and
recording at the same time. If this gets frustrating, take a break. If
all else fails, use the video record button on your phone, as I can
separate the audio out later.

I'm not looking for perfection, and we're still just practicing for now.
When you listen to your voice,

remember you aren't doing this as a soloist, and your voice will be mixed
with other voices. The most important thing is to try and match your
timing as much as you can to the vocal line you are listening to.

Remember, CONNECTION OVER PERFECTION and have some FUN! -Kellie
