Dear, Choir Members,

As Lani has shared with you, the UCM Board and Executive Team have
finalized the hiring process for this church year's part-time Interim Music
Director. We are glad to welcome Kellie Walker Hart to our staff team
(copied here). She will fill the Interim Music Director position
through the end of June 2021.

Kellie has prepared this 4-minute video
<https://www.dropbox.com/s/2cnd7nn2553v50r/KWH_GreetingsUCMSeptember2020.mp4?dl=0>
to introduce herself to you. Kellie comes to us with over 25 years of
experience as a UU Music Director and wonderful skills in working with
choirs and song-leading and creative innovation in presenting music in an
online format. You can read more about her on her website:
https://www.hartsongsmusic.com/ and also view some of her recent work on
her YouTube channel
<https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn5pcH_Uqhhnv8l3wLcIoSQ>.

I will be sending out an all-church email tomorrow afternoon to share this
news and will introduce Kellie to the congregation at our service this
coming Sunday. We hope to schedule a time in the next week or so for a Zoom
Meet & Greet with the Choir.

Kellie is currently based in Prescott, AZ and will work with us remotely
through at least December. Her primary responsibilities will be to direct
the program of music that is presented in our virtual Sunday morning
services and to lead and support the Choir as you all continue to navigate
the realities of being a Church Choir during a pandemic. Kellie will also
help us prepare for what comes next for our congregational music program
after this year.

As you will see and hear from Kellie herself, she is quite attuned to the
grief that has come with losing in-person, group singing during this time.
I trust that you will find her to offer a warm and caring presence as well
as many skills to continue fostering connection and also engage in
satisfying musical projects together.

Please feel free to reach out with any thoughts, questions, or concerns.
You can email or call me at (802) 829-7420.

With love and care,
Joan
