[Choir] Announcing UCM's 2021-2022 Acting Director of Music

Dear UCM Choir Members and Friends,

I am very pleased to share with you that *Donia Prince* will be joining
UCM's staff as Acting Director of Music for the upcoming church year! Donia
begins in this position on July 1st.

Many of you know Donia from her participation in the UCM Choir over the
last few years and have experienced her leadership as a substitute Choir
Director on occasion and former Chair of the Music Committee. Donia also
brings a broad range of experience to this role as a singer and choir
director in other local, community settings. Donia's range and depth of
experience, creativity, and musical sensitivity make her a wonderful
addition to our staff team, and I know that she will serve the congregation
and choir well as we continue in this time of transition and return to
in-person services and programs.

Over the summer months, Donia will work with the Choir to arrange for
rehearsals and gatherings and also begin preparing for the coming year's
worship services which begin mid-September.

I hope you will join me in welcoming Donia into this role!

And, special thanks to the Hiring Committee members - Brenda Bean, Pat
Carstensen, Jackie Dennison, Ginny Sassaman, and Tom Schersten - as well as
the Executive Team, Governing Board, and Pianist, Eliza Thomas, for their
support with this process.
