Dear Donia & Friends,
I’m well vaccinated, but very resistant to ZOOM as a vehicle for choir singing. What makes a choir what it is — to me —means that people sing together — where they can see & hear each other, working together to interpret & produce a good choral sound. It is typically fun, too…. Of course it’s true that something is generally better than nothing, but to me ZOOM is an uncomfortable way to perform/participate. The struggle with the technology distracts & detracts from what we’re doing, especially for those not savvy with it (like me). So I need to wait it out — til we can sing & be heard/seen more “normally” together again. My hat goes off to you, Donia, for your yeoman & creative efforts to keep it all glued together. Let’s hope this doesn’t go on for a long time. Thanks all for trying to understand….Sending love & prayers for a better time in all our lives!
Sadly, MaryJean McKelvy
