Hello friends,

I acknowledge that our last rehearsal had its challenges! Not least of
which was the temperature. I apologize for not having been more aware
of/sensitive to how unpleasant it was for many. I've been in touch with
the Grange folks and am set with the plan to have both heat and ventilation
for next week.

Also, I've heard from several people about just needing more
rehearsal time. I am actually confident that we can present this music
well in the time we have, but also agree that it's just not as satisfying
to have to rush through rehearsals without the time for the repetitions and
focus on musicality that give more confidence and enjoyment.

This coming Thursday I would like to have a 2 hour rehearsal, which will
give us 3-1/2 hour segments with breaks, from *6:15 to 8:15* or a little
earlier. I think this extra time will really help give us the sense of
ease that we need. Again we will not have the optional vocal exercise
session beforehand this week (but I do hope to go back to that!)

*Hymn recording session*
We are planning another hymn recording session for Saturday, Nov 13th from
12-2. Mark your calendars! Hope most of you can make it. That is also
the day that a few things MIGHT need to be done to finish up the grange
kitchen painting project. If so we might stop a little early so that those
who want to can help do that.

Not sure if you all hear much of this, but I regularly hear from people
about how wonderful and meaningful it is to regularly see the choir back in
action. These extra efforts you are making are SO MUCH appreciated, by the
congregation and staff as well as by me.

Appreciatively,
Donia
