Hello!
First off, thank you all for your hard work, spirit and flexibility the
last several weeks! It has been sheer joy working with you all. I
remember the first time I filled in for Dick, how wonderful it was to hear
all of the parts all together from the front of the choir. I know you
can't hear each other very well, but I hear you and you sound great! (I
think we should start something where individuals come up to hear the whole
choir from the front...). The first service is behind us--I think it might
be a weird disconnect for you, not being there but being an important part
of things. But you all were very present in the service and VERY much
appreciated. There were a lot of technical glitches (including many people
not even being able to get on Zoom). But your parts, being pre-recorded,
went off without a hitch .
We will rehearse this week again at the Capital Grange, *at our old time:
6:30 PM*
*Our Schedule*
I have created a google document that outlines the schedule over the next
several weeks, including what we are singing and information on the
optional events on 9/19 and 10/2. You can find that document through this
link:

I will update it regularly.
*HELP!*
There are a few specific things that I could use some help with. Let me
know if you are willing to do any of these, or if you have questions.
1. 2 people to regularly arrive 15 minutes early to rehearsal to set up
chairs, open windows, etc.
2. Making signs that have the lyrics to the hymn *"We are building a new
way". *on them. For a change of pace, a homier look, and so that
*everything* is not done through technology, when we record this hymn I'd
like us to physically show these placards in our video, rather than
creating them on powerpoint. We can talk details! And probably get
supplies from the church.
3. We have the opportunity to barter many weeks of our Grange Hall rental
in exchange for a group painting the Hall's kitchen. Nancy Schulz and
SPUDS might take this on but we need someone from the choir to be the choir
liaison for this project, possibly including helping with recruitment to be
sure that the job gets done!
Thanks for considering, and let me know if you can help in any of these
ways.
See you Thursday!
Donia
