I am thrilled to hear that Donia will be staying on with the choir! I've sung under eleven different choral directors in my time, of large and small chorales and church choirs, and in my experience Donia is right up there with the best of them. I sincerely hope that she will be considered for a long-term position when that time arrives -- she deserves it and the church community deserves her.

It has been such a joy to have your voices part of our worship services all year long and most recently to have some of you live and in-person in the sanctuary leading hymns on Sunday morning! Thank you for your commitment to sharing music and song with one another and our church community and for your flexibility and adaptability along the way.

 

It was brought to my attention that our current plans for music staffing into the next church year are not widely known. I am so pleased to have Donia continuing on into the coming year. She has been such an asset to our staff with her adaptability, creativity, and capacity for learning new skills. We are in conversation now about the scope of her position for the coming year, and I will have more to share about that soon. Of course, I am also so grateful for Eliza's wonderful contributions as our Pianist/Organist and am so glad to have her as a part of our music staff.
