[Choir] longer zoom rehearsal, thoughts on Music Sunday, music program

There is a song we've done several times before which seems like a timely offering for us to do again from the sanctuary, but I can't remember the name of the song!  I believe the music is Bach, and the words include "...that something always always sings"   I hope one of you knows what song I mean!

Hello!
Still zooming it this week--I had kept it at 1 hour because I didn't know if people would tolerate longer on zoom.  But I've had some feedback and suggestion to make it the usual 1-1/2 hours, so we will try that this week:  6:30-8:00.
I am attaching the individual part practice videos for Ave Verum Corpus, for your pleasure.  I would love if people were to come to rehearsal with particular sections they would like to go over.  We will also plan to review Whole Wide World, practice parts to Spirit of Life, and possibly start on Give us Hope.
It's not too soon to be thinking about Music Sunday this year, which will be on May 15th.    Since we don't know what will be happening in our world at that time, I don't want to plan an ambitious theme-centered program.  Instead I'd like it to be centered more simply on the celebration of music in our lives, and with an awareness of  the task that all of us will be facing:  moving forward and reconstituting ourselves practically, psychologically, emotionally, after 2 years of our collective trauma.I invite everyone to think about this, and we will spend a little time at the end of the rehearsal getting people's thoughts.   I am open to anything--both specific pieces, other angles, performers to feature, poems or readings.Following are some possibilities to think about. -Musically for us that might mean revisiting some old favorites.  Anything you would like to present at this?-If we are able to sing in the sanctuary, which I think might be very possible at that time, is there something we've recorded this year that you would really like to be able to sing again "live"?-We could resurrect the Jake Runestad we were preparing under Dick for Music Sunday 2020" "Let our love be heard"-Maybe find a piece we could do backing up Verdis, (like O Holy Night.)-Would people want to do a major new piece?-What additional performers seem most appropriate for this?
If you don't plan to attend this week on Zoom but have thoughts about this, please feel free to pass them on to me.
Also, it seems like a good time to try again to reconstitute a music committee.  Anyone who might have some interest please stay on zoom after our rehearsal for about 1/2 hour.  This will be initial and exploratory--no commitment implied by your attending.  Topics to broach:   How can we increase the health and visibility of the choir and music program?  What might a music program beyond the choir mean (apart from guest musicians)? Recruiting non-choir members for music committee?  What is the purpose of a music committee?
