[Choir] Thursday rehearsal, Mozart opportunity, music, etc

Hello!

We will have just a normal rehearsal Thursday.  6:30 in the sanctuary.
Yay!!
We will work on Wonderful World, For the beauty of the earth, and begin
Gift to Sing, which will be for Music Sunday and was handed out last week.
 There are rhythms which will seem complex at first (because they are!)--it
might be useful to get a feel for them through listening.  You can find a

As the numbers have gone down significantly, I will be advocating at this
Thursday's covid task force meeting for gradually getting more live singing
into in-person services.   INCLUDING... having a quartet of us *singing the
Mozart Ave Verum live in the Sanctuary during Sunday's service* along
with/while showing the lovely video we made last week.   Masked, of
course.  Are there people who would like to do this if this is OK'ed?  We
would need one and only one on a part, so only if you feel comfortable
holding your own.  Verdis is ready and willing to sing bass, but if one of
our basses would like to, that is also great!  I am ready and willing to
sing tenor--same deal.  If we get more than one taker on a part I'll draw
straws.  It's possible this won't be possible, but I'd like to be prepared
if it is.

Please bundle up anything else you have, alphabetized and paper-clipped
together,and put it in your cubby.  Lani will then gather those and put
everything in their proper homes.  Thank you Lani, for all you are doing to
keep our music library organized!!!

Unfortunately there was a problem with the audio in the recording you all
made last week, and we will have to redo it.  For the record, you all
sounded awesome last Thursday--it was truly thrilling for me getting to
bask in your collective sound--the issue was purely technical.   So the
good news is we get to do it again!  Next week, Thursday the 24th during
our rehearsal.  We will be trying to wrangle as many of the children back
as possible.

I will send a zoom link for anyone who is not able to make it in person.
