Most of you don't know that I have quite a collection of hymnals and am a
bit of an expert on American hymnody.

( Of course, every American agnostic secular Jewish youth should grow up to
become such an expert and collector)

Most of these two dozen hymnals are more than one hundred years old. As of
now, no decision has been made as to where they go when I go.

The collection includes two original Hymns of The Spirit, which was
published in 1937. It was compiled by a joint commission of representatives
of the Universalist Church of America and the American Unitarian
Association, and was the first joint project of those two faiths.

Interestingly, The Unitarians also published their own hymnal around the
same time. Why? Who knows. Except for quite a few Unitarians, the
Universalists were a bit too "religious". Yes, in the 1930's.

Along the way, I have also acquired a modern reprint of Hymns of The Spirit
which I would like to give to anyone who might share my interest in hymnody.

Of course, Donia gets the right of first refusal. Anyone else who is
interested is invited to call me.

Blessings
