[Choir] This week/End of year schedule

Hello everyone!

It is undeniably sad in many ways that we end our year with 4 of us with
covid, and others with other health issues: first and foremost, concerning
for your health; and sorry for you that you can't be with us for the final
service(s).  It is sad for all of us that we can't sing with you again this
year and that we can't go out on our final service with full forces.   But
if nothing else these last few years we know how to be resilient!  And
there is the party!

Here's to each of you making quick and complete recoveries, and for
continued health for the rest of us.

What this means for the rest of us this week:
Even with some significant loss in numbers in a couple of sections, I think
we can do a rousing job with Born This Way!   We might have help from
Verdis and possibly others, and I plan to sing as well.  Besides it's
the kind of piece that doesn't require a perfect balance of parts, just
good energy.   Sure on This Shining Night might be a different story.  We
can try this Thursday and see if we can pull it off, though the balance of
parts is pretty important and some of the parts are hard to hold without
strength in numbers.   So it's likely we won't end up singing that on
Sunday--good thing we prepared 2 pieces!  And you never know...

For Dick Jenney's service--I had already reapportioned the parts to match
our group well, and I think we can work with that.

*SCHEDULE:*
This Thursday regular choir will rehearse 6-7 PM
Rehearsal for Dick Jenney's service from 5:30-6:00 (if you had not
previously signed up to do this and would like to you are still welcome.)

*PARTY:*
I hope folks will be recovered and we can all be there for an end of year
party, on Thursday June 15th, 6 PM.  Location is still to be
determined--probably at my and Maryann's house.  We can figure out rides
and carpools, etc.  More details to follow in the coming days.
