[Choir] Sad news--Heather Moz

 Dear Donia, thank you for this beautiful if deeply sad note. My heart goes out to Melinda, having so recently lost her husband to cancer as well. What a hard time for her!
You all might not know but Heather was also very funny. She came to two weeklong creativity retreats I facilitated years ago. At the first one, we wrote a group story, each of us picking up a notebook and adding a few paragraphs as the spirit moved us. Heather's entries were hysterical -- smart and super funny. When I think of Heather, I remember those two weeks together, and how much her presence contributed to the whole group.

I'm writing with the sad news that Heather Moz died last night of a heart attack.  As you probably know, she had been struggling with numerous health issues over the past few years.  Apparently it was quick last night and a friend was with her.  Her daughter, Melinda, will be taking some time to decide on plans for a Memorial.   Rev. Joan will be sending out a note to the congregation this afternoon, including information about reaching out to the family.
Heather had sung with our choir off and on for years, pre-dating many if not most of us.  I saw her Sunday afternoon at the music event at the church --it was the first time she had been out of the house for a while, she said, and she asked if she could come to some choir rehearsals now that we have the elevator back.   
She was a kind, deep, soulful person with a voice to match.
