[Choir] Practice tracks and Music Sunday news

Good morning!

Wanted to let you all know that I did post practice tracks for You'll Never
Walk Alone on the webpage <https://ucmvt.org/choir-members-information/>.

Also, plans for Music Sunday, on May 4th are coming together.   Last year
it was almost all choir--this year we will be including a number of guest
artists, which will be lovely and also make a somewhat lighter lift for the
choir.  Singers David Ruffin and Lillian Broderick and cellist Michael
Close are all confirmed.  Pieces that are definite right now are 3 new
pieces, all have links on the website, and a reprise of Laudate Dominum
with Lillian, and Lauridsen's Dirait-on (the french one about the
rose--that was the single most mentioned piece by many of you.). With 1 or
2 still to be confirmed.
We will introduce one of the new ones, Sarah Quartel's Ripple Effect this
Thursday.

Thanks to everyone for your great suggestions of music to include.  In the
end I regret to say I am not including most of your suggestions, but I took
them all very seriously and many were in various drafts of
the program--they all helped inform the process of making final selections.
(bringing up thoughts of styles, tones, genres, etc.). So thank you.  Some
we will bring in for regular service music before the end of the year.  So
thank you!

I would like to do the public performance in the afternoon this year but
could really use someone as a partner in organizing it--taking on some of
the logistics, publicity.  It's not a big job but will require someone who
is good at organizing and willing to think ahead and think through details
independently.  Let me know if you would be willing.
