Dear Committee of Chairs,

Janet Poeton & Elaine Stehel would like to invite you to our next Committee
of Chairs Meeting, which will be held in the Vestry at UCM on *Tuesday,
April 9 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. *

Each year, all active Committees at UCM are asked to submit year-end
Committee Reports, in advance of our Annual Meeting, which will be held
this year on Sunday, May 19 @ 1:00 p.m. To give us all plenty of time to
consult with our committee members, review our meeting minutes, etc. ... we
would like to request that all *Committee Chairs bring with you on April
9th (or submit to Elaine at ucm.membership at gmail.com
<ucm.membership at gmail.com>) a first draft of your FY 2018-19 Committee
Report.* Please include the name of your committee; the name(s) of your
committee members and their roles/titles; the frequency & length of your
meetings; and pertinent information including accomplishments, initiatives,
events, participants, topics addressed, etc.

Please also take a moment to review the minutes, attached, from our January
15th CoC Meeting (please reply if you notice any inaccuracies, for example,
if you were in attendance and I missed your name) -- also, *please note
places in bold where volunteers are needed*, and reach out to people you
know who may be interested in taking on these roles!

If you have not yet read the January 13th report from Stewardship
Consultant Mark Ewert, *please do so* -- the letter from the UCM Governing
Board and the full report are attached -- *this is very important
information* for each of you, our amazing volunteers, to read in full and
discuss with each other, staff, and other volunteers! Please share the
report with your Committees, via e-mail and/or in person at your next
Committee Meeting.

Finally, as we near the end of this Church Year and begin our preparations
for next, be aware that our Stewardship Team members have been working
incredibly tirelessly to raise the needed funds for UCM's FY 2020 Budget
(beginning July 2019), and we cannot successfully complete our Annual
Budget Drive without your support!

*If you have already submitted a generous pledge to support UCM in the
coming Church Year -- Thank you! *If you haven't yet submitted your pledge,
please do so as soon as possible, so that the Board & Executive Team will
be able to plan to implement the many wonderful plans & visions we have all
requested funding to reach & achieve.

Here is a letter from Charlotte Root, our Stewardship Co-Chair:

Dear Committee of Chairs,

We are so grateful to those of you who have already taken the time to make
a pledge of support for this community’s upcoming budget year. You are our
lay and professional leaders, the most influential people in our community,
and we couldn’t do any of this without you!

As we are growing and getting better at providing for our community
(including increasing staff hours, providing health insurance, and more
support for our programs), our budget is growing, too. That’s why we set
the goals this year of *increasing our pledgers by 10% and asking folks to
engage with *the Fair Share Guidelines
<https://stewardshipforus.com/stewardship-resources/suggested-fair-share-contribution-guide/>
*.*

We believe we do have the resources in this community to support our budget
- but we need everyone to get on board! *We’d love for you to send this
brief message of love and encouragement to your committees so we can make
sure we have everyone’s pledge of commitment. *

The Annual Budget Drive officially ends Sunday March 24th, *so we hope
everyone can get their pledges in by then, if possible! If you need more
time, we understand, and we’ll accept your pledge any time of the year. *

Example Message to Committee Members:
