Hi all,

I am passing along information about an important community meeting this
coming Thursday evening regarding emergency planning. I will be there. It
would be great to have others from UCM in attendance if you are available.
There will also be a Zoom option.

You can click the link below to find out more about the draft emergency
preparedness plan and to download the entire 64 page document.

Take care,
Joan

Hi there,

I am writing to give you an update on the Montpelier Commission for
Recovery and Resilience's emergency preparedness and response planning
efforts and to invite you to a public forum we are holding on a draft plan
on *October 10 at 6:30-8:30 PM at Montpelier High School*. I’m hoping you
can spread the word to anyone else you think might have an interest.

In May the Commission engaged a consulting team to craft a more robust and
inclusive emergency response plan for our city. We’re calling it the
Montpelier Action Plan for Local Emergency (MAPLE). After engaging
stakeholders and working in collaboration with City staff we are nearly
ready to release a draft plan and eager to gather input from the
community.

The focus of the forum will be the rollout of the draft plan that we will
have ready for review by October 7. We’ve set up a helpful page that
provides lots of background info here - www.montpelierstrong.org/maple
<https://montpelierstrong-dot-yamm-track.appspot.com/2h1ZmryhP6znsBjpipVMaMI6Dtf4OgssowQCOd2Qbml0nT6MvkgHL5EE9tBGvVmtH6eVUuKye4oSTcfk_zW6czHDHYsD6k6zaaEfiU93mnsTIZ_ZyDZh9-Zc-6V4KXRZ2DPwhw7bjF3OX9Vw8KNnjeBC5lTFZceS8w06JV4a3hW1y6uI5uuSxcZdH05LRuw>
When the draft plan is ready we will post it here.

Childcare will be available onsite at the forum. ASL interpreters will also
be available for the event. There will also be a Zoom option with details
to be posted here - www.montpelierstrong.org/maple

Please join us and help to spread the word.
Thanks,

Jon Copans
