*Subject:* Sorrowful News

Linda Riggs Abbott, member of the Unitarian Church of Montpelier and the
Alliance, died on June 13, 2017 of complications from Alzheimer’s Disease
at home in Montpelier at the age of 73.

She leaves her husband, David, after 52 years of marriage, and their
daughter, Sarah Abbott Murphy, her husband, David Murphy, and their
children Luke and Grace, of Chicago, Illinois.

A memorial service is planned for 1 pm on Sunday, July 16th at the
Unitarian Church of Montpelier, with a reception to follow.

Gifts may be given in her memory to the ACLU of Vermont, the
Kellogg-Hubbard Library or any other organization of your choice whose work
serves to protect our civil liberties.
