Sorry for being so late doing this, but I have now experienced how to use this srcaction e-mail address. I am also sorry for any duplicates. From 7:30 AM to 2 PM tomorrow Thursday 1/5 there are a series of events in the State House including breakfast with legislators early morning and recognition  of NGO's working on housing at 9:30 AM. I had mentioned one of the day's activities in the e-news, the March/Vigil starting at Christ Church at 11:40 AM and marching to the State House supporting the Campaign to End Homelessness in Central Vermont by 2020. Hi Friends,

Happy New Year.  I'm going to be at UCM at 8:30am this coming Sunday to 
go through our lending library and some other miscellaneous SRC 
materials of yesteryore.  Anyone who wants to join me is welcome - I 
should be in the vestry right up until service begins.  If we have time 
and interest, we can also brainstorm some ideas for the bulletin board.

Next SRC meeting is January 19th, from 11:30-12:30

We have just gotten the time slots from the school. In order to make the

In the last four days I have fallen from the incredible high that I felt 
marching in Montpelier down further each day with the current national 
political reality.  I'm sharing this article on how to stay motivated 
and sane as we face attack after attack on our values because it came at 
just the right time for me.

Thanks Ansel for sharing this. I am so glad the SRCAction is giving this a
lot of attention. I don't do Twitter but I can't help but watch the news to
see what the latest is. I do a lot of things suggested but not enough. It
is a little challenging in Vermont because our Congressional delegation is
aligned with us. So I think we need to do as much locally as we can.

I am so delighted the next issue of the Bridge is going to be focused on
Climate Change. We should all thank Nat and be sure we support the Bridge
financially.

I think it is also good to just have one on ones or small group discussion
with others who also suffer from despair and share our grief.  I find that
helps a lot.

Wondering what your options might be for effective congregational action in this heightened time of hostility and violence and possible deportations?

UUSC, UUCSJ, UURISE and the UUA are partnering to offer a series of online workshops to help equip congregations, State Action Networks, and community activists to address the heightened fear, hostility, and possible increased deportation that has been unleashed by the election.

This webinar will feature a presentation by Katia Hansen, President and CEO of UU Refugee & Immigrant Services and Education (UURISE), about what it means to become a Sanctuary congregation, key factors that are part of the congregational discernment process, and a reminder that Sanctuary is one of many ways to be in solidarity with those most at risk in this new political landscape.
