Hope you can make it! Please share with friends. (There will also be a vigil on Tuesday, December 18 at 5PM at the State House sponsored by the Plainfield Community Action Affinity Group.) [image: Loveknows_Twitter.png] *Love Knows No Borders: Solidarity Caravan Vigil and Art Making (sponsored by Vermont Interfaith Action)* On Monday, December 10th, International Human Rights Day, hundreds of interfaith leaders joined together at the U.S.-Mexico border to bear prophetic witness to the mistreatment of immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers as part of the American Friends Service Committee's "Love Knows No Borders" campaign. 32 of these leaders were arrested . Here in Montpelier, on Tuesday, December 18th, International Migrants Day, we will join in solidarity with the migrant caravan, Vermont's immigrant community, and all who seek refuge in the U.S. *Art making, Friday, December 14, 5:30-7:30PM at Bethany Church* Calling all artists and those who enjoy creating art!!! We are gathering at Bethany Church (115 Main St. Montpelier) this Friday to create lawn signs and artwork to display at houses of worship in Montpelier. These art installations will center around the theme of Love Knows No Borders and will be up for display over the weekend and will be used as part of our Solidarity Caravan Vigil on Tuesday, Dec. 18th. Both of these events are part of a larger campaign taking place across the county as we join in solidarity with the migrant caravan and all who seek refuge in the US. Together, we are calling on the US to end the detention and deportation of immigrants, respect the human right to migrate and end the militarization of the border. There will be soup and bread provided. This event is free and open to the public. Please bring your creativity and any art supplies you may have! *Solidarity Caravan Vigil, Tuesday, December 18, 12-1PM , beginning at Unitarian Church of Montpelier* We are gathering at Unitarian Church of Montpelier as part of the Love Knows No Borders campaign. Art installations will be placed at houses of worship around Montpelier over the prior weekend. This vigil will move from one art installation to another in caravan fashion pausing at each location for a moment of silence, prayer, reading, music, dance or thoughts before moving onto the next location. We will end by sharing a few closing remarks on why we are doing this and how others can be more involved in changing immigration policy in VT and the US. We join in solidarity with the migrant caravan and all who seek refuge in the US. Together, we are calling on the US to end the detention and deportation of immigrants, respect the human right to migrate and end the militarization of the border. Remember that this is an outdoor event. Please dress appropriately for the weather. [image: wewish_twitter_link.png] *Rev.
