[SRCAction] Decolonizing Thanksgiving and SRC news

Hi Folks,
I hope everyone is having a peaceful and joyous beginning of winter!

Belatedly, I’m sending you all some information from SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) on Thanksgiving.  My personal goal for this holiday is to celebrate the harvest, reaffirm the bonds between living creatures that made it possible and acknowledge the pain and injustice behind it. It seems like a good opportunity to look into the past and decide what we will bring forward into a more just, peaceful future.

Lastly, the Social Responsibility committee meeting for Nov is scheduled for tomorrow, though because of the holiday, I am hoping that all will join me at the Thanksgiving leftovers potluck in the vestry.  We will not have a meeting in Dec but will be back in January on the fourth Sunday of the month.
