 Hello all,
Welcome back to the new church year at UCM! I'm excited to be a
co-facilitator for a new small group about social justice work as a
spiritual practice. I anticipate the group meeting 6 times or so this
winter.

For anyone interesting in participating, we will be discussing this new
group on September 22, 12:30 in the fireplace room (this is the first SRC
meeting of the year). We'll cover the scope, meeting times, and get hear
your input on how the group can best serve this community. Please email me
if you have any questions.

*I am ALSO looking for a co-facilitator for this group. As many of you
know, I'm a farmer and will be finishing up the busy season in the next two
months. It would be fantastic to work with someone who can make sure the
logistics get covered as we start this group.*

Here's a rough draft that Joan wrote:

"Do you sometimes wonder what the best way is to work for justice in the
world? Are you an activist that tends to get burnt-out? Do you shy away
from the word "activist" and still feel committed to making a difference?
Would you benefit from a supportive small group to share these questions?
If any of these questions resonate with you, join in an informational
gathering to explore the creation of a small group ministry focused on
supporting the spiritual path of activism and justice-making."

I've also enclosed a sheet about forming a small group justice ministry.

Peace and Solidarity,

Ansel Ploog
