 Dear SRC Members,

As with so many things, the pandemic has forced us to shift into new ways of doing things. In past years, the community pouch applicant process was a large in-person meeting where we got to meet and hear from each of the candidates. Of course, this year, that wasn't possible. Instead a group met on zoom to choose pouch recipients from written applications-- a very different experience from other years.

Because of this shift in how the pouch was chosen, it came to light that this might be a good time to make some process revisions. Since SRC has been a primary partner in the community pouch process, we’d like your help to re-envision our recipient criteria and selection process for future years.

Please join us for a few meetings in winter and early spring. Our first meeting is January 14th via Zoom from 6pm-8pm.  Please contact Beth Merrill at bethaleen at gmail.com if you’d like to be part of this and future meetings helping to make important decisions for our congregation and the wider community doing good works.
