Let me clarify that any voter engagement activity of the UUA and UU congregations is and would be NONPARTISAN. This is an important distinction because we are a nonprofit and engagement in partisan activity is prohibited by law. UU voter work would be focused on registering voters, getting people out to vote (via mail, at polls, etc), and protecting the vote WITHOUT endorsing candidates or working with political parties. Nonpartisan voter engagement can focus on targeting specific geographic communities, identity groups (e.g. racial, age, religious, low income) etc. *Rev.
