[SRCAction] Friday, May 29 Conversation about UU the Vote and More

Thanks for that question, Mary Alice. Let me clarify that any voter
engagement activity of the UUA and UU congregations is and would be
NONPARTISAN. This is an important distinction because we are a nonprofit
and engagement in partisan activity is prohibited by law.

UU voter work would be focused on registering voters, getting people out to
vote (via mail, at polls, etc), and protecting the vote WITHOUT endorsing
candidates or working with political parties.

Nonpartisan voter engagement can focus on targeting specific geographic
communities, identity groups (e.g. racial, age, religious, low income) etc.
