It was nice to see and hear you, choir members, on Zoom. I apologize that I couldn't get my video to work, but given the limited bandwidth I have, it might have knocked me off Zoom.I have attached (way at the bottom of this email) the piece I wrote about my mini-concert in 'shut down' Puerto Viejo. At the bottom of this email is the invitation to our sing-along this evening.  Just click on the long URL that is right after the words "Join Zoom Meeting".  If you have never used zoom before it will then ask you to go through a few steps to sign up.  You might want to do these steps earlier, using the link Dick sent you in his email below.  This meeting is password protected, you'll be asked to enter the password listed in the invtation.
If you feel unconfident about using zoom, you might try logging in early.  Lani is available to help.  Her number is 802-426-2045.  I could too in a pinch but will be anxious about being sure I've got the technical side of the meeting squared away so might not be able to give you undivided attention!  My number is 802-735-3870. If anyone else can volunteer to be a technical assistant if Lani's number is busy, please reply all with your phone number.
Remember to print your music!Also, reminder that to increase the fellow feeling of sections, and just for fun, you are invited to optionally color code yourselves:  Sopranos in Yellow, Altos in Red, Tenors in Green, Basses in Blue.
Finally we want to offer a disclaimer.  While the zoom technology is amazing, it does have limitations.  We won't actually be able to hear each other sing, although we will see each other.  However, we have devised a variety of ways to conduct this sing-along designed to  make it still feel like we are together, and make it fun!  It's all a bit of an experiment and an adventure!  We're eager to see how it all goes.

This is a reminder that this coming Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 we will be having a UCM Choir sing on Zoom. Donia, Lani, Nan, Bronwyn, and Eliza and I hope very much that you can be a part of it.

I will be there and participating, but not exclusively leading as I am having hernia surgery tomorrow and will not be the sharpest mind in the room!
We'll start off by singing along with some familiar songs on YouTube. The words to those songs - "sing along words" - are attached. 
Then we'll sing some music in parts from our own library: "Sumer is i-cumin in" (in 2 versions! - print both!), "Hard Times," and "Sicut Cervus" (to be sung with a virtual choir!). All this music is attached. Make sure that you print out every page. 
Finally, Bronwyn will lead us in "Blue Boat Home." Music attached.
Toward the end of our time together, we'll open it up for general chat and for your responses to how it all went.
