Actually, that picture is from our back hill, not our deck. This one is
from our deck, and overlooks our steep curving driveway, with a wide view
of the forest and mountains. We are at 5600 feet and these mountains are
higher. Yes, we are surrounded by Prescott National Forest in the Prescott
area, and we can see much of it from our house. And yet we are only one
and a half miles from downtown Prescott and the Courthouse Plaza, the old
Territorial Capital of Arizona. Prescott has nearly 40,000 people, with
90,000 in the "Quad City" area, which is all about a 2 hour drive NW of
Phoenix, a huge sprawling desert city that I'm glad I don't live in
anymore. Even though it too, can be a beautiful place, especially in the
winter.
And one of our two 750 water gallon tanks has now filled up with water
after today's rain!
