Hi All: If you are planning to send in an audio track of "DeNoche" by this
Friday afternoon, here are the "instructions:
Listen to the first Spanish and first English verses without singing, then
start singing on the next (Spanish) verse, or just start the recording you
are listening to, a little before that third time through, when you come
in. Then sing the next verses through until the last "loo" verse. So it
looks like this, compared to the recording:
1. Spanish (you are silent)
2. English (you are silent)
3. Spanish (you sing your part)
4. English (you sing your part)
5. Instrumental verse (probably best to be silent, as I'm realizing I left
this blank on the separate voice tracks -unless you are listening to the
whole mix, in which case you can hum along to the keyboard)
6. Spanish (you sing your part)
7. English (you sing your part)
8. You sing on "loo" (don't sing on the repeated tag at the end, that will
be instrumental, but if you accidentally do, no worries, I can take that
out)
I hope this helps make things a bit clearer! The audio tracks are due to
me by this coming Friday at 3 pm.
And thanks for the conversation with Joan last Thursday, it is an important
part of figuring out the next steps for music leadership at UCM. If you
have any additional thoughts or questions, you can email me, Joan, or
someone on the Executive Committee, as they decide next steps.
