[Coc] Please RSVP for CoC mtg, Tues Jan 10

Hello, chairs and program leaders -

The Committee on Ministry is looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday for
the Committee of Chairs meeting. We will continue our exploration together,
per UCM's Strategic Plan, of "facilitating gatherings that are spiritually
grounded and compassionate".  As Ansel mentioned (see below), we'll be
offering short sessions on three different topics. These were inspired by
your ideas and requests at the October CoC meeting. They'll be interactive
and fun!

*Please RSVP to me (not the full CoC list) by Thursday evening with this
info: *

1. We encourage you to *bring along a second member* of your committee or
program on Jan. 10 so that s/he may benefit from the sessions. We suggest
your vice-chair, or whomever might step up into a leadership role. Please
let me know who will join you.

2. Please indicate *which breakout group(s) you and your vice chair are
most interested in attending*. This will help us to prepare enough handouts
and choose meeting spaces. Topics are:
A. Leading effective meetings: strategies, tips and techniques for making
good use of meeting time.
B. Covenants: what, why, when, and how.  Developing and updating committee
covenants & discussion of why they're important.
C. Resources for leaders: where to find readings & quotes, short songs to
sing (we'll learn some!), how to begin/end gatherings, etc.

3. *Does your committee or program have a covenant? *If yes, when was it
last updated? If you have an electronic copy, please send it to me.

Lastly, I have attached brief notes from the October CoC meeting. Please
take a look at these before Tuesday to refresh your memory on the wonderful
discussion we had and the next steps you all suggested. We're excited to
learn and explore together on Tuesday in pursuit of our shared vision and
goals!
