[Coc] Bringing it back to your committees and teams

Hello, dedicated committee chairs and leaders,

Thank you for a wonderful Committee of Chairs meeting this past Tuesday
evening! And, thanks again to Ansel and Emily for facilitating and Donia
for helping with the agenda.

I just wanted to share a few follow-up items....

1) If you have any further feedback on the *Two Services Exploration Draft
Plan*, please share that with me by next *Wednesday the 25th*. I will be
planning to share this more broadly with the congregation once we've
finished our RE Envisioning Conversations. (For those who couldn't make the
meeting, I am attaching a slightly revised version of what I shared at the
CoC meeting.)

2) Speaking of RE Envisioning... Please do sign up to participate
<http://tinyurl.com/REenvisioning> in one of the *RE Envisioning
Conversations*! This will be a time to reflect with one another on the
beloved aspects of UCM's RE programming (for children, youth, AND adults),
the challenges we are facing as families and adults at various stages of
life to nurturing our spiritual journeys, and the hopes we hold for the
future of religious education and faith formation at UCM. Your input is a
valuable and needed part of this process!

3) I appreciated greatly the *"Individual Growth Exercise"* we did during
our meeting and would *recommend that you try this out at an upcoming
committee meeting*. I think it's a wonderful way to encourage continued
sharing and listening to one another about how the growth of the church is
affecting each of us. The small group discussion guidelines are attached.

If you think your committee members might not be ready to share what
excites them about the future of UCM, you could also tailor the third
question as needed. For example, "I am* hopeful *about the future of this
community because....", or "When I imagine our congregation's future, I
feel...", or "As our community grows and changes, I feel...."

Thank you for all you do to build a loving community within and outside of
our congregation!
