[Coc] Church Closed Aug 1 & 2

Hello friends,

A first ever (after 152 years!) concrete floor will be poured in the church basement this coming week. This final step completes a decade long effort to insulate and tighten up the building to keep cold and moisture out. 

Contractors, concrete trucks and concrete pumps will be set up in the parking lot next Wednesday and Thursday.  The School Street entrance floor will be lifted and the entrance unusable. There may also be odors from the wet concrete curing and, as you may imagine, a great deal of loud noise. Consequently the Property Committee recommends that everybody give the church a wide berth on Wednesday and Thursday (August 1 & 2). Please stay away.

Things will return to normal and the church will once again be completely usable on Friday, August 3rd.
