[Coc] Stewardship Announcements

Dear CoC list,

“Fuel our Flame” - the Pledge Drive to fund our 2019-20 budget, will begin with a Kickoff Sunday March 10th, featuring testimonials and activities during service and a celebration FOR ALL following the 2nd service at ~12:15, with healthy snacks and desserts, singalongs, and Pledge Cards and stewardship discussions and activities.

The Pledge Drive will continue through March 24th. Our major goals for this pledge drive are: getting 10% new pledgers! And growing our relationship to the spiritual practices of gratitude and generosity by learning more about our discernment tools for figuring out our pledge!

It’s so important that the whole congregation can participate fully in the Pledge Drive, know what’s happening, and learn enough to be well informed about our stewardship duties to this community. In order to help the Stewardship Committee with all the work we’re doing to plan for and prepare the congregation, we would also ask that all committees please consider rescheduling meetings that may conflict with our kickoff celebration March 10th after the 2nd service. We would also ask all committees to consider how you can help support the Pledge Drive! Here are some suggestions:
Come and party with us on March 10th! Email your committees to remind them about it the week before! The fellowship is the fun part <3
Joining with the Stewardship Committee temporarily to support this large project! (Our next meeting is tomorrow, Sat 2/16 at 1 pm, and we do have several smaller projects that are quite fun that need leadership!)
Bringing a dessert on March 10th
Helping with setup and clean up on March 10th
Pledging early and generously (generosity is relative to each individual and discernment is needed to figure out what generosity means in your financial picture - please reach out if you have questions)
There are all kinds of roles for leaders, creatives, helpers and volunteers. Reach out if you have your own inspiration for supporting stewardship :)
