[CoC] Committee of Chairs meeting -- What you missed

Good Evening,
Thanks to those of you who were able to attend last evening's meeting. I
hope that you found the updates helpful and that you enjoyed the
opportunity to visit with one another.
For those of you committee chairs who were unable to attend, we had updates
from members of the Board and the Stewardship Committee. Committee
representatives talked about what their committees had been doing. Also,
you missed an explanation of this year's budget preparation process which
is ongoing.
Now is the time for you to consider what activities and projects you hope
to undertake in your committee and whether you would be seeking any funding
from UCM to support them. If you have any questions about planning for the
next church year before submitting a budgetary request, please feel free to
contact any member of the Executive Team (Claudia Clark, Dawn Evans, and
Leslie Parr). Here is a link to the form you should complete in order to
submit a request for funding during the 2021-2022 budget year:

submitted by *Friday, February 19*.
The Finance Committee will be working with the Executive Team during the
week of February 22 to assemble the budget, based in part on the forms
submitted by committees seeking funding.
The Board will consider the preliminary budget at its March 2nd meeting.
Materials about this year's pledge drive will be mailed early in March. At
the conclusion of the pledge drive, the budget will be adjusted as
necessary.
A congregational vote on the budget will take place in May.
