Hello-

I would like to encourage some environmental organizations to come to our meeting this year. Does anyone know people I should invite or organization names that I can then research for a contact person? Thank you.

The meeting will be on Saturday, August 29th from 10am-noon.

Have a great day.
Melinda

 Hi
Melinda,This is fantastic that you are taking on the
 pouch again! Thank you!Two things,
scheduling-wise, the first SR meeting is Sunday, the 30th,
from 12:15-1:15, which may conflict with the pouch mtg. As
the church gets busier, it’s hard to find mtg times that
don’t conflict with each other! My inclination is to let
the conflict stand since we have lots of SR mtgs during the
 year for folks to attend.
The other thing is that I know that
Joan and the ET have been talking about the pouch and I just
wanted to make sure you all have touched base.
Sorry for not jumping into this
 email exchange
 earlier!Thanks!Ansel

 Hi Melinda and SRC
members,That sounds good to me.  The Women's
Alliance met last night and I noted that they gave $100 to
each of the following organization last year:  Circle
Womens Shelter, Planned Parenthood NE, CVHHH, Have Justice
will travel and $50 each to Habitat for Humanity, CVCOA and
$200 to UCM Community lunch.  We may want to consider these
amounts when making our decisions on the 30th.Mary

 Hello
 all-

I just found out about two social justice events happening
on Sunday the 23rd.  Let Equity Bloom is in Burlington and
the 2nd Annual Race Against Racism is in Montpelier. There
are no events on the Peace and Justice Center website for
the 30th so I am leaning in that direction.  It would give
us more time to advertise and avoid these two events.  The
meeting would be from 1pm-2:30pm in the vestry.  Thoughts
 are welcome.

 Have a great day.
