[Choir] Montpelier Flood Choir continuing

What a glorious rehearsal we had last Thursday!  And yay you all for such a
great turnout--UCM choir rocked!   We will have another rehearsal this week
with performances TBD.  Some important info below so read on.

Here is the message I just sent to the other groups:
The Montpelier Flood Choir will be rehearsing again this Thursday July 27th
at 6:00 PM in the Gallery at College Hall at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
The central piece we are singing is Requiem, by Eliza Gilkyson, written
following the 2004 Asian tsunami and since sung in response to other water
related disasters.

Our first rehearsal last Thursday was attended by almost 60 singers from at
least 7 choirs, and was a very moving experience.  We are looking for ways
to present this healing music to the community at large.  If you were not
able to make it last week, you are still welcome!  There will probably be
some media at this Thursday's rehearsal.

If you would like to be on the email list for updates please contact Sarah
Hooker at sarah.hooker at vcfa.edu.  If you attended last week but did not
receive an email from Sarah on Saturday afternoon, also contact Sarah so
you are sure to get on the list.
We ask people to print their own music as possible, as well as to pay a few
dollars as possible to help pay for the licensing fees.  The PDF's are
attached here.  You can also find them on the Unitarian Church
Choir's member page at https://ucmvt.org/choir-members-information/

Please feel free to forward this info on to others.

By the way, YOU do not need to pitch in for the music--the church has paid
for your music.
*AND...*We have a beginning of year workshop with David Ruffin planned for
Saturday September 10th from 10am-1 pm.  Mark your calendars!  I have also
updated our choir member's page, so you can find info there.
